I'm an IT professional living in the Salt Lake County township of White City. I started FreeUTOPIA out of my frustration that unincorporated county areas couldn't participate in UTOPIA. As time went on and I found out more about UTOPIA and the telecommunications market, I've become a staunch advocate of this market-correcting project to break the stranglehold of incumbent monopolies within the market that keep broadband speeds low and prices high.
